My First Pressed Flower Wall Frame Story

by CHINDU BENNY on Sep 10, 2023

2021 was a blessed year in many ways. A year to remember! Woah Keeping this journal space to share my very first flat-pressed flower wall frames I did for Joy Alukkas Gold Residence in collaboration with Templetown.

When I received the call from temple town, regarding this project I felt so thrilled and excited! They wanted me to make 15 wall frames with a vintage feel, and a bare minimum of colourful flowers. Keeping this in mind I started working out how I can bring minimal botanical elements while maintaining harmony throughout the 15 frames. As all these frames go to one wall in the master bedroom, opposite a striking wall.

Each of the 15 artworks is made on a textured handmade sheet, which has a museum quality.

For me, it’s not just a wall frame, it’s a dream come true! And it paved the way for a new category launch!

Let’s bring florals into our home!

Dried flowers are back in fashion!

We one of our latest projects we had ordered a collection of dried flower frames from Kalavai by Chindu.
And I have to say it is a source of everlasting joy.
It’s a stylish and sustainable way to to enjoy your favourite blooms all year round.
I look forward to exploring more ways of using dried flowers in our interiors collaborating with this very talented designer and her brand Kalavai.
